Welcome to The Mood Method

Story time: I moved around a lot as a kid. And every time we landed somewhere new, my mom made sure we decorated. I got to pick paint colors and styles for each new bedroom, which gave me a little bit of control in the middle of so much change. That’s where it all started—my interest in making things look and feel good.

In 2020, when we were all stuck at home noticing everything that didn’t work in our spaces, I started working with clients to make their homes work better for them. I noticed I kept coming back to the same question:

“How do you want to feel in your space?”

That question changed everything.

I found that I connected most with projects where clients were willing to focus on the mood they wanted to create—in their bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, wherever. I got a thrill when someone would say things like, “Oh, this is more than decorating,” or “This is like therapy.” That’s when it felt the most rewarding. I realized I wasn’t just helping people make things look good—I was helping them figure out what aesthetics could give them the feeling they were chasing.

Interior decorating didn’t feel like the right label anymore. I started calling it emotion-led decorating, but even that didn’t quite cover it. So, for a while, it took a back seat. Clients would reach out now and then, and I’d take on projects here and there.

But in 2025, I decided to get clear on what I really wanted to do—and what I genuinely enjoy when I help people decorate. I realized it was the approach that made it feel special. And so, The Mood Method was born.

The Mood Method isn’t about fulfilling an aesthetic need—it’s about an emotional one. I want to help my clients define how they want to feel in their space, and then figure out how to create it. Whether that’s something they do on their own or something we build together, the goal is the same: to make a space that truly feels like them.

If you’re ready to connect with yourself and trust your feelings to shape your space, head over to the contact page and fill out the form. We’ll make a space that feels like you. I can’t wait to work with you!
